Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (AS-BUILT DATA USE) Yes Go to the next step.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
2 INSPECT SEAT CUSHION
  • Inspect the seat cushion.
  • Is the seat cushion damp?
Yes Dry the seat cushion.
Perform the DTC inspection again. If the same DTC is displayed, go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
3 INSPECT FRONT SEAT WARMER Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the front seat warmer.
4 INSPECT PASSENGER-SIDE FRONT SEAT
  • Switch the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  • Remove the passenger-side seat and visually inspect for the following:
    • Seat under-bracket deformation
    • Seat frame deformation
      • Foreign objects stuck in seat
  • Are any of the parts deformed or are any foreign objects stuck in the seat?
Yes Replace the front seat warmer. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to the next step.
5 INSPECT FLOOR
  • Visually inspect the installation parts of the front passenger-side seat for the following:
    • Abnormal floor deformation
      • Installation hole of front passenger-side seat is improperly positioned
  • Is the floor normal?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair floor deformation.
6 INSPECT OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR Yes Replace the occupant classification sensor.(See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
