Not P Position Switch Inspection
NOTE:
- The not P position switch is built into the selector lever component.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Selector lever knob (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel component (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
- Verify that the continuity between selector lever component terminals B and G.

- If not as verified, replace the selector lever component. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
P POSITION SWITCH SPECIFICATION
