Rear Housing Removal Note

  1. Remove the battery tray. (Refer to BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Disconnect the turbocharger air outlet pipe from the dynamic pressure turbo. (Refer to INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the vacuum pump. (Refer to VACUUM PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the exhaust CMP sensor. (Refer to CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the ECT sensor No. 1. (Refer to ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the rear housing.
