Quarter Window Glass Removal

Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION )
Remove the following parts:
1. Rear package tray (Refer to REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
2. Trunk board (with trunk board) (Refer to TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
3. Trunk covering (Refer to TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
4. Bass-box (with Bose ®) (Refer to BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
5. Trunk box (Refer to TRUNK BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
6. Trunk end trim (Refer to TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
7. Rear seat cushion (Refer to REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
8. Rear seat back (Refer to REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
9. Rear scuff plate (Refer to REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
10. Trunk side trim (Refer to TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
11. C-pillar trim (Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
12. Pillar garnish (Refer to PILLAR GARNISH REMOVAL )
Apply protective tape along the edge of the body and the quarter window glass.

WARNING:
1. Using the piano wire with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using the piano wire.
Avoiding pins on the inside of the vehicle, insert the piano wire which has been cut to sufficient length.

Wind each end of the piano wire around a bar.
NOTE:
- Use a long sawing action to spread the work over the whole length of the piano wire to prevent it from breaking due to localized heating.
Secure one end of the piano wire, and while pulling the other end, cut the sealant around the quarter window glass.

Pull the quarter window glass outward and detach the pins from the body.
