Driver-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation: Installation

Connect the following connectors.
- Air bag module connector
- Horn switch connector
Align the driver-side air bag module pin with the steering wheel hole.

Press the pin of the driver-side air bag module until a click sound is heard.

Verify that the driver-side air bag module is securely installed.
Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
Verify that the air bag system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.
- If the air bag system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. (See FLOWCHART [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
