Front Accessory Socket Removal/Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Glove compartment (refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Decoration panel (refer to DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper panel (refer to UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (refer to UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (refer to REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (refer to SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (refer to FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (refer to SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (refer to FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the cap tab and socket.
- Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure, and press the front accessory socket in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the cap tabs from the socket.
- Pull the front accessory socket in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.
- While pressing the cap tabs in the direction of arrows (3) shown in the figure, press the cap in the direction of arrow (4) shown in the figure to detach the cap tabs from the front console.
- Remove the cap.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
