Request Switch Removal/Installation: Liftgate

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Rear package tray (Refer to REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Liftgate upper trim (Refer to LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Liftgate side trim (Refer to LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Liftgate recess (Refer to LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Liftgate lower trim (Refer to LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Liftgate garnish (Refer to LIFTGATE GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Push out the request switch in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the request switch tab in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, detach the request switch tab and liftgate garnish, and then remove the request switch from the liftgate garnish.

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
