Front Console Removal/Installation: MTX

CAUTION:
  • When remove the front console, always make sure that it does not interfere with the heater control unit. Affix protective tape along the shaded area shown below to prevent scratches and damage.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Center console box (See CENTER CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Center console (See CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Shift lever knob
    6. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the service hole cover, then remove the screw A.

  4. Pull the front console in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4) and remove the front console while detaching the clip B.

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
