Steering Shift Switch Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .) - Disconnect the steering shift switch wiring harness connector.
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Using a precision flathead screwdriver, release the tab.
- Measure the continuity between steering shift switch wiring harness connector terminals A-B and terminals D-E.

- If there is any malfunction, replace the steering shift switch. (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
