Service Plug Disconnection/Connection

CAUTION:
  • Do not get dust or oil on the service plug because it could increase the resistance in the capacitor (i-ELOOP).
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Turn the steering wheel completely to the right.
  3. Remove the 3 fasteners for the front mudguard (LH) shown in the figure.

  4. Remove the service plug installation bolt shown in the figure.

  5. Pull the service plug in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
    NOTE:
    • The service plug cannot be completely removed.

  6. Using the removed installation bolt, fix the service plug at the position to which it was pulled out.
  7. Perform removal/installation of target i-ELOOP related parts.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
