| 2 | VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
|
Yes | Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.

| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | INSPECT APP SENSOR
|
Yes | Replace the accelerator pedal, then go to Step 11. (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 4 | VERIFY CURRENT INPUT SIGNAL STATUS OF APP SENSOR
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Go to Step 6. | ||
| 5 | INSPECT APP SENSOR RELATED WIRING HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
|
Yes | Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to Step 11. |
| No | APP sensor malfunction.

| 6 | VERIFY CURRENT INPUT SIGNAL STATUS OF BRAKE SWITCH
|
Yes | Go to Step 9. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 7 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH
|
Yes | Replace the brake switch, then go to Step 11. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 8 | INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL PLAY AMOUNT
|
Yes | Inspect the wiring harness related to the brake switch for connector disconnection, short circuit, and poor contact.
|
| No | Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, then go to Step 11. | ||
| 9 | VERIFY IF A DTC RELATED TO DRIVE-BY-WIRE CONTROL IS DETECTED
|
Yes | Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE ). |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 10 | VERIFY CONDITION OF FLOOR MAT
|
Yes | Explain to the customer that the floor mat is preventing the accelerator pedal from springing back after release.
|
| No | It is possible that the accelerator and brake pedals have been depressed simultaneously, (during braking operation using left foot)
|
||
| 11 | VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
|
Yes | Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). Go to the next step. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 12 | VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
|
Yes | Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE ). |
| No | DTC troubleshooting completed. | ||
