Top Lock Switch Inspection
- Cover both sides of the rear window glass with thick cloth to protect the window.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF] )
- Remove the following parts:
- Console (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Quarter trim (See QUARTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Aeroboard (See AEROBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Front seat back bar garnish (See SEAT BACK BAR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Back trim (See BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Seat belt set plate (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Seat back crossmember assembly (See SEAT BACK CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Rear side trim (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Rear package trim (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Side shelf (See SIDE SHELF REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Inspect for continuity between the top lock switch terminals.
- If not as specified, replace the striker. (See CONVERTIBLE TOP DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY )
