Up Switch Inspection

CAUTION:
  • Water or foreign objects entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign objects on the connector when disconnecting it.
  • Do not damage the terminals.
  1. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Remove the console. (See CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Disconnect the selector lever component connector.

  2. Measure the continuity between selector lever component terminals A and D.
    UP SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Test condition Continuity
    M (+) Continuity
    Except M (+) No continuity
