Transaxle Range (Tr) Switch Adjustment

CAUTION:
  • Do not allow foreign material or water to penetrate the connector. Otherwise, it could cause poor contact and corrosion.
  1. Apply the parking brake firmly and set the wheel blocks for both the front and rear wheels.
  2. Shift the selector lever to the N position.
  3. Disconnect the TR switch connector.
    1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    3. Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Disconnect the TR switch connector.

  4. Loosen the TR switch.
    1. Remove the clip and disconnect the selector cable from the manual shaft lever.

    2. Loosen the TR switch installation bolts.

  5. Adjust the TR switch.
    1. Verify that the manual shaft is in the N position.

    2. Adjust the resistance between TR switch terminals B and C to 713-787 ohms.

    3. Tighten the TR switch installation bolts.

      Tightening torque 

      • 8-11 N.m {82-112 kgf.cm, 71-97 in.lbf}
