Primary Control Valve Body On-Vehicle Removal
WARNING:
- Do not perform the servicing while the ATF is hot. Otherwise, it could cause severe burns or serious injury.
- Always wear protective eye wear when using the air compressor. If the air compressor is used, any particles of dirt or soiling could spatter and get into the eyes.
CAUTION:
- Do not allow foreign material or water to penetrate the connector. Otherwise, it could cause poor contact and corrosion.
- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the aerodynamic under cover. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Clean the outside of the transaxle using steam or detergent oil.
- Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Remove the oil pan.
- Disconnect the solenoid valve connector and GND.
- Disconnect the TFT sensor from the oil strainer.
- Remove the oil strainer.
- Remove the bolts shown below and remove the primary control valve body.
- Remove the accumulator and accumulator spring.
