DTC P1697:86 (VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Cruise control switch (DISTANCE switch) malfunction signal reception
Detection condition	The cruise control switch (DISTANCE switch) on-signal is input for 10 min or more.
Fail-safe	Inhibits the Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
Possible cause	Cruise control switch malfunction Malfunction in circuit between cruise control switch and start stop unit Start stop unit malfunction Vehicle control module (V/C-module) malfunction
