Adjuster Anchor Removal/Installation

WARNING:
  • The side air bag sensor is attached to the lower part of the B-pillar. When working around the B-pillar, disconnect the negative battery cable or work carefully, avoiding excessive impact to the lower part of the B-pillar (with side air bag sensor No. 1).
  1. Switch the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more  . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  3. Set the adjuster to the lowest position.
  4. Remove the adjuster anchor cover. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the following parts:
    1. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove bolt A.
  7. Remove the bracket.

  8. Remove bolt B.
  9. Remove the guide.
  10. Remove the adjuster anchor.
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
