High-Mount Brake Light Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • When removing the high-mount brake light, it can be performed smoothly by folding the rear seat back.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the high-mount brake light cover and rear package trim shown in the figure.
  3. While pressing hook A in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, lift up the high-mount brake light cover in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to pull out hooks A from the rear package trim.

  4. Move the high-mount brake light cover in the direction of the arrow (3) shown in the figure to pull out hooks B from the rear package trim.

  5. Disconnect the connector.

  6. Move the high-mount brake light in the direction of the arrow (4) shown in the figure to detach the high-mount brake light cover tabs from the high-mount brake light.
  7. Remove the high-mount brake light.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
