Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Control Module Removal/Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] ).
- Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the rear bumper. (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the BSM control module.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the BSM radar test. (See
BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) RADAR TEST ).CAUTION:
- If the BSM control module is replaced, not performing the BSM radar test will cause a deviation in the radar emission angle which could result in the system not detecting a vehicle approaching from the rear correctly. If the BSM control module is replaced, perform the BSM radar test.
