Sliding Door Front Latch Removal/Installation

  1. Fully open the sliding door glass.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side door garnish (See SIDE DOOR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear side trim (See REAR SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Sliding door trim (See SLIDING DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Sliding door inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Remote controller (See REMOTE CONTROLLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Sliding door module panel (See SLIDING DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Disconnect the cable from the lock-link.

    CAUTION:
    • If the lock is released by rotating the link of the lock link, the cable may be deformed. Do not rotate the link of the lock link except when releasing the inner/outer handle lock.
  5. Remove the screws.

  6. Remove the sliding door front latch.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
