Front Door Inner Handle

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the tab position shown in the figure.

  4. Release the lock while pulling the flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1), pull the shaft up 5 mm {0.2 in}  in the direction of arrow (2), and detach it from the inner handle.

  5. Pull the shaft up, remove the inner handle (pin) from the door module (installation hole), and remove the shaft.

  6. Remove the inner handle from the door module and remove the door lock knob cable and inner handle cable.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
