Rod Protector Installation Note

CAUTION:

Before installing the nut, verify that the rod protector projection is inserted into the groove of the front door latch and lock actuator. If the rod protector is installed with the projection not secured to the specified position, the rod protector will interfere with the key rod and front door glass and could cause abnormal noise or damage to the part.

Insert the rod protector projection into the groove of the front door latch and lock actuator and secure it.

Insert the stud bolt of the outer handle into the rod protector hole and install the nut.
