Seat Control Switch Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the restraints control module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON. This is normal operation and does not indicate a supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault.
NOTE:
  • The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
  1. Depower the SRS. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
  2. Remove the recliner handle cover.
  3. Remove the seat control switch knob.
  4. Remove the 3 screws and the outboard front seat side cushion shield.
    • Disconnect the seat control switch electrical connector.
  5. Remove the seat control switch.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Repower the SRS. See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING .
