Manifold Absolute Pressure (Map) Sensor Removal/Installation - Hybrid

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Remove the throttle body (TB). See THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - HYBRID .
  3. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.
  4. Using a tool similar to KD Tool #58181 or Lisle T25 Torx Bit, remove the screw and the MAP sensor.
    • To install, tighten to 3 N.m (0.3 kgf.m, 27 in.lbf).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    NOTE:
    • Lubricate the MAP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
