High-Tension Lead Inspection

  1. Remove the high-tension lead. (See HIGH-TENSION LEAD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Measure the resistance using a tester.
    • If not within the specification, replace the high-tension lead.

    High-tension lead resistance [20°C {68°F}] 

    1.0-4.0 kilohms
