Key Interlock Solenoid Inspection

Perform the following procedures.
1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L5] ).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
4. Disconnect the key interlock solenoid connector.

Measure the resistance between the key interlock solenoid terminals A and B.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the steering lock. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITHOUT ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM] ).
Key interlock solenoid specification Approx.36 ohms
