Auto-Dimming Mirror Removal
- Remove the rain sensor cover. (See
RAIN SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Remove the rain sensor. (See
RAIN SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Disconnect the auto-dimming mirror connector.

- Make a tool as shown in the figure using wire.
CAUTION:
- Using the tool with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using the tool.
- To prevent damage to the lens, do not use a Flathead screwdriver.

- Insert the tool to the position shown in the figure and press the center part of the spring.
CAUTION:
- Perform the procedure while being careful not to damage the lens.

- Pull out the rearview mirror toward the vehicle rear.
CAUTION:
- When removing the rearview mirror, it may hit the headliner and cause a damage. Hold the rearview mirror with hands and be careful not to contact it with the headliner.
