DTC P144A:00: Notes

DTC P144A:00 (MZR 1.5) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P144A:00 EVAP system purge vapor line restricted/blocked
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • P144A:00 indicates that the P144A:00 blocked line diagnostic is designed to detect a full blockage in the vapor lines between the fuel tank pressure sensor and the fuel tank.

    Diagnostic support note 

  • This is an intermittent monitor (EVAP system).
  • The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles
  • or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Blockage(s) between fuel tank pressure sensor and fuel tank
  • PCM malfunction
