DTC P0564:00: Notes

DTC P0564:00 (MZR 1.5) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P0564:00 Cruise control switch circuit malfunction
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors the cruise control switch signal. If the PCM detects that any one of following switches (Cruise OFF, CANCEL, SET -, SET +, RESUME, Cruise ON) remains on for 2 min, the PCM determines that the cruise control switch circuit has a malfunction.

    Diagnostic support note 

  • This is a continuous monitor (other).
  • The MIL does not illuminate.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is not available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Clock spring connector or terminals malfunction
  • Clock spring malfunction
  • Cruise control switch malfunction
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between clock spring terminal 2C and PCM terminal 1AU
  • PCM connector or terminals malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between clock spring terminal 2C and PCM terminal 1AU
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between clock spring terminal 2C and PCM terminal 1AU
  • PCM malfunction
