DTC P0453:00: Notes
DTC P0453:00 (MZR 1.5) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES
| DTC P0453:00 |
Fuel tank pressure sensor high input |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM monitors the EVAP control system fuel tank pressure sensor input signal to the PCM. The test fails when the signal average jumps above a minimum allowable calibrated parameter.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during first drive cycle.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Fuel tank pressure sensor connector or terminals malfunction
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Fuel tank pressure sensor terminal C-PCM terminal 1AK
- Fuel tank pressure sensor terminal B-PCM terminal 1AL
- Fuel tank pressure sensor power supply circuit and signal circuit are shorted to each other
- Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
- Fuel tank pressure sensor terminal B-PCM terminal 1AL
- Fuel tank pressure sensor terminal A-PCM terminal 1AG
- Fuel tank pressure sensor malfunction
- PCM malfunction
