Ignition Lock Cylinder Removal/Installation

NOTE:

• For non-functional ignition lock cylinders, the steering column lock module has to be replaced. See STEERING LOCK MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .

1. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver. See PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .
2. Using a suitable tool, press the release pin and remove the ignition lock cylinder.
   NOTE:

   • The ignition lock cylinder must be in the RUN position.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   • Verify the ignition lock cylinder operation.
