Sensor Output Value Inspection

  1. Verify that no DTC related to APP sensor has been detected.
    • If any DTCs related to APP sensor have been detected, perform the DTC inspection. See DTC TABLE [MZI-3.7] .
  2. Switch the ignition to ON.
  3. Inspect the following items using the PID/DATA monitor function. See DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS [MZI-3.7] .
    • Verify that the sensor output value is as indicated in the table below according to the condition of the accelerator pedal.
      • TP1
      • TP2

        Specification 

        SPECIFICATION

        Condition TP1 TP2
        Accelerator pedal is released 3.7-4.7 0.3-1.9
        Accelerator pedal is depressed 0 7-2.9 4.1-4.7
    • If it cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7] .
