Sensor Output Value Inspection
- Remove the MAF/IAT sensor with the connector still connected.
- Switch the ignition to ON.
- Inspect the following items using the PID/DATA monitor function. See
DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING TEST RESULTS [MZI-3.7]
.
- Verify that the sensor output value changes when wind is introduced gradually to the sensor part of the MAF sensor.
- MAF
- If it cannot be verified, replace the MAF/IAT sensor. See MASS AIR FLOW (MAF)/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7] .
- Verify that the sensor output value changes when wind is introduced gradually to the sensor part of the MAF sensor.
