Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Removal/Installation - 2.5L: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on a hoist. See LIFTING .
Remove the 5 bolts and the RH splash shield.

Remove the engine plug bolt.

Turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to position the number one cylinder at top dead center (TDC) and install the special tool.

Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
Remove the bolts and the CKP sensor.
