DTC P2228 [LF]: Notes

DTC P2228 (LF) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P2228 BARO sensor circuit low input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors input voltage from the BARO sensor. If input voltage is below 2.1 V  , the PCM determines that the BARO sensor circuit has a malfunction.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2/Mode 12) is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • BARO sensor (built-in PCM) malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
