Lower Panel Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Partially peel back the seaming welt.
  4. Remove the following parts:
    1. Front scuff plate inner (driver's side)(See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front side trim (driver's side)(See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the screw.
  6. Pull the lower panel outward and detach clips A.
  7. Remove the lower panel.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
