DTC P2503 (L3) DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSES

| DETECTION CONDITION |
- PCM needs more than 20 A from generator, and judges generator output voltage to be below 8.5 V during engine running.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (Other).
- The MIL does not illuminate.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Drive belt misadjustment
- PCM and/or generator are poorly connected
- Short to ground in wiring between generator terminal D and PCM terminal 2AA
- Short to ground in wiring between generator terminal P and PCM terminal 2AF
- Open in wiring the between generator terminal D and PCM terminal 2AA
- Open in the wiring between generator terminal P and PCM terminal 2AF
- Generator malfunction
- PCM malfunction
