DTC P2100 [L3]: Notes

DTC P2100 (L3) DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P2100 Throttle actuator circuit open
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Difference between the target and actual throttle positions exceeds the specified value.

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Poor connection of the throttle body connector
  • Throttle valve motor malfunction
  • PCM connector or terminal malfunction
  • Open circuit between throttle body terminal F and PCM terminal 2BE
  • Open circuit between throttle body terminal E and PCM terminal 2BF
  • PCM malfunction
