DTC P0403 [L3]: Notes
DTC P0403 (L3) DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSES
| DTC P0403 |
EGR valve (stepper motor) circuit malfunction |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The PCM monitors the input voltage from EGR valve. If voltage at PCM terminals 2AX, 2BA, 2AT and/or 2AW remain low or high, the PCM determines that the EGR valve circuit has malfunction.
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
- MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
- PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
