DTC P2195 [L3] DETECTION CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The PCM monitors the front HO2S equivalence ratio (lambda) when the following conditions are met. If the equivalence ratio is above 1.15 for 25 s  , the PCM determines that the front HO2S signal remains lean.

    MONITORING CONDITION 

    • Fuel injection control system status: feedback control
    • Rear HO2S feedback is active
    • Rear HO2S fuel trim is below -2.97%  or rear HO2S voltage above 0.7 V 
    • ECT is above 70°C {158 °F} 
    • Engine speed: 1,000-3,200 rpm 
    • Absolute load: 20-62.5% 
    • Purge solenoid valve does not operate

Diagnostic support note 
  • This is an intermittent monitor. (HO2S)
  • MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
  • PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Front HO2S malfunction
  • Fuel injector malfunction
  • Insufficient fuel line pressure
  • Leakage exhaust gas
  • Air suction at intake air system malfunction
  • Leakage fuel
  • MAF sensor malfunction
  • ECT sensor malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
