DTC P0708: Notes

DTC P0708 [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC P0708 Transaxle range (TR) switch circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • TR switch position voltage input to TCM is 4.84 V or more when ignition switch is at ON position.

Diagnostic support note: 
  • This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
  • The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • A PENDING CODE is not available.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The AT warning light illuminates.
  • The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • TR switch malfunction
  • TCM malfunction
