Tire Pressure Sensor Activation
NOTE:
In the following procedure, a TPM Sensor Activation Tool must be used.
NOTE:
After a vehicle has been stationary for 30 minutes or more the tire pressure sensors go into "Sleep Mode". The tire pressure sensor may need to be activated to transmit the latest tire pressure values to the SJB.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Place the activation tool against the left front tire wall 180 degrees opposite of the valve stem. Press the test button. See Fig 1NOTE: Activate each tire pressure sensor 2 times.NOTE: If the tire pressure sensor has been activated, the scan tool will make a "Beep" sound and being to flash a green light.NOTE: Do not wait more than 2 minutes between each tire pressure sensor training.
- Place the activation scan tool against the tire wall 180 degrees opposite of the valve stem on the remaining tires.
- Verify that the TPMS warning indicator is not illuminated.NOTE: If the TPMS warning indicator is still illuminated, there may be a malfunction in the TPM system. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
