Yes | If DTC B2179, B2180, B2181, carry out the multifunction switch component test. See table at end of test. If the switch tests OK, go to next step. |

| 2 | CHECK CIRCUIT (G/V), (V/W), (L/O) AND (BR/W) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Go to step 5. |
| No | Repair circuit (G/V), (V/W), (L/O) or (BR/W) for a short to ground. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 3 | CHECK CIRCUIT (G/V), (V/W), (L/O) AND (BR/W) FOR AN OPEN

Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | Repair circuit (G/V), (V/W), (L/O) or (BR/W) for an open. Test the system for normal operation. | ||

| No | Repair circuit (G/V), (V/W), (L/O) or (BR/W) for a short together. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 5 | CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION.

Yes | Install a new SJB. See SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) , . Clear the DTCs, Repeat the self-test. |
| No | The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test. | ||
