Possible Causes

CAUTION:
  • Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
INDIVIDUAL REVERSING LAMP IS INOPERATIVE - PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 2 THE INDIVIDUAL REVERSING LAMP IS INOPERATIVE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK CIRCUIT (B/Y) FOR AN OPEN
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Inoperative reversing lamp.
  • Measure the resistance between the LH reversing lamp 0918-601 pin 1, circuit (B/Y), harness side and ground; or between the RH reversing lamp 0918-602 pin 1, circuit (B/Y), harness side and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
 Yes Repair circuit (BR/Y). Test the system for normal operation.
No Repair circuit (B/Y). Test the system for normal operation.
