Hood Switch Inspection

NOTE:
- Hood switch has a built-in hood lock.
- Open the hood.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the radiator grille.
- Disconnect the hood switch connector.
- Using an ohmmeter, inspect for continuity between the hood switch terminals A and B.
- If there is no continuity, replace the hood switch.
- Lock the hood lock using a flathead screwdriver
- Inspect for continuity between the hood switch terminals A and B using an ohmmeter.
- If there is continuity, replace the hood switch.
CAUTION:- After the inspection, unlock the hood lock. If closing the hood with the hood lock locked, the hood lock and/or hood striker may be broken.
