Rear Differential Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Drain the rear differential oil into a container.
  2. Remove the after silencer, pre-silencer, and catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC] ).
  3. Remove the propeller shaft. (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the rear drive shaft. (See REAR DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Add the specified rear differential oil.
