Generator Removal/Installation [L3]: Notes
WARNING:
- Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.
- When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with generator terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the battery negative cable before performing the following operation.
- Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] ).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the under cover and splash shield as a single unit.
- Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] ).
- Position the coolant reserve tank out of the way.
- Position the drive belt out of the way. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [L3] ).
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
