Audio Control Switch Inspection

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] ).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Disconnect the audio control switch connector.
  5. Verify the resistance and continuity between the audio control switch terminals.
    • If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control light switch.
