Instrument Cluster: Overview

CAUTION:

Prior to removal of the module, It is necessary to upload module configuration information to the WDS or equivalent Tester. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. See MODULE CONFIGURATION .

Disconnect the battery. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
Lower the tilt steering column (if equipped) to the lowest position.
Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL .

Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL ORDER

1	Instrument cluster screws
2	Electrical connector (part of 14401 wiring harness)
3	Instrument cluster Installation Note
4	Instrument cluster lens/mask assembly Removal Note
5	Indicator and illumination bulbs (11 req'd)

Release the tabs on the top and bottom of the instrument cluster and remove the lens.
Following installation of the new instrument cluster, download the module configuration information from the WDS or equivalent Tester into the new module. See MODULE CONFIGURATION .
