Possible Causes

ALL POWER WINDOWS INOPERATIVE - PINPOINT TEST REFERENCE

PINPOINT TEST 1 ALL POWER WINDOWS ARE INOPERATIVE
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT (R/LB)
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect the Driver Window Control Switch 0912-201.
  • Key ON, Engine OFF (KOEO), Engine OFF, (KOEO).
  • Measure the voltage between the driver window control switch 0912-201 pin 8, circuit (R/LB), harness side and ground.
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
 Yes Go to next step.
No INSPECT smart junction box (SJB) fuse 15 (30A). If ok, GO to step 3.
2 CHECK THE GROUND TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH - CIRCUIT (B)
  • Key OFF.
  • Measure the resistance between the driver window control switch 0912-201 pin 12, circuit (B), harness side and ground.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
 Yes INSTALL a new driver window control switch. See WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
No REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
3 CHECK CIRCUIT (R/LB) FOR AN OPEN
  • Key OFF.
  • Disconnect the SJB J-2280c.
  • Measure the resistance between the driver window control switch 0912-201 pin 8, circuit (R/LB), harness side and the SJB J-2280c pin 29, circuit (R/LB), harness side.
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
 Yes See PINPOINT TEST 9: THE DELAYED ACCESSORY IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY  .
No REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
